Hear another different story about how losing 100 pounds is possible. At this session, the whole group will brainstorm ideas for follow up meetings including suggested facilitators, topics, activities, time, dates and locations.

Last Fall, Shayne, an extremely overweight 19 year old, found the courage to ask for help in the fitness center from a nearby body builder. Find out how the story unfolds - join CU employees, Al Gonzalez and Shayne Miller, along with the Wellness Program's Beth McKinney, for another follow up to our recent "Losing 100 Pounds" session. Hear how these two unlikely people teamed up to ultimately change forever Shayne's relationship with food. "How Do I Know Which Running Or Walking Shoe Is Right For Me?"
Looking for the perfect pair of running or walking shoes and just don't know where to start? Join Ian Golden, proprietor of the Finger Lakes Running Company, avid runner and occasional walker, for a workshop that will help you find the most appropriate pair of sneakers. Ian will touch on various topics including understanding your foot type and the biomechanics of running and walking. Join us on Wednesday, April 29 at noon at LOCATION TBA. This lecture will unravel the mystery of body mass index and other common weight measurements used to assess health risk.
